
If a resident has a concern he or she thinks to be addressed by the Township, we encourage you to contact the Township Manager who is able to address the matter promptly and/or schedule an appropriate time for that individual to present concerns to the Board. All meetings of the Board are open to the public with an opportunity at each meeting for public comment.

The Board of Supervisors holds a business meeting to conduct business on behalf of the Township. The Board appoints a Township Manager who is charged by the Board with implementing the ordinances it passes and managing the annual budget of the Township which is adopted by the Board each December for the following calendar year. Laws, called are vested with the executive and legislative powers of the Township and are responsible for the annual budget. In turn, the 2nd Class Township Code and other laws of the Commonwealth, govern how the Board operates.

To accomplish this, the Board enacts laws, or Ordinances, that govern various activities in the Township.

The Supervisors are responsible for the overall governance of the township, in a manner that provides for adequate health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the community. The Board, organized under provisions outlined in the 2nd Class Township Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is comprised of 3 members who are elected to staggered, 6-year terms in at-large elections. The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of the Township.
